10 Foot Long Godiva Chocolate Train Inspired by Murder on the Orient Express

St Pancras International railway station got a ‘taste of brilliance’ after the worldwide premiere of 20th Century Fox’s film, Murder on the Orient Express on November 2nd.

Global integrated marketing agency, Union+Webster, partnered with local Sussex Chocolatier Jen Lindsey-Clark, Godiva and 20th Century Fox to create a three (3) meter long Chocolate Train displayed at the world premiere. “As we explored possible activations for the partnership between Godiva and Fox, I was inspired by the beauty and intricacy of the train paired with Godiva’s rich look. The idea came to me to create a chocolate train to support the campaign when researching the history of the luxury train line. It has been an amazing journey to see the train come to life and appreciate The Chocolatician’s craft and detail,” said Gina Michnowicz, CEO and Executive Creative Director, Union+Webster.

Inspired by the train in the film, Chocolatician Jen Lindsey-Clark, designed and constructed the train with over 60 kilograms of Godiva dark and milk chocolate, accented with an edible gold finish. “My favorite part of this project has definitely been finding all the little details that go into making the locomotive and the finishing touches. Such as the valves and boiler piping and lots of little tiny things. Now i’m constantly walking around thinking “Oh, that would make a good air vent”! It’s been quite the journey!” said Chocolatician Jen.

Complementing Godiva’s new limited edition Murder on the Orient Express chocolate line, the Chocolate Train is currently being displayed in St Pancras International railway station nearby to the Godiva Store. The train is complete with character silhouettes in the carriage, chocolate train tracks with chocolate gravel, and includes the iconic snow plow and whistle atop the train.

Murder on the Orient Express is in cinemas now.
